Jim McClintock

As a seasoned and accomplished business leader, Jim brings a balanced blend of corporate (Citibank, SunTrust, BellSouth) and entrepreneurial experience to his role as a principal at Pace. His career spans two industries – financial services and information technology – and multiple functional roles including sales, business development, finance, product development/management, strategic planning, corporate development/M&A and information technology.
Jim’s involvement in financial services included roles as a business development officer for Citicorp’s LBO financing unit, as a partner at North Riverside Ventures, an Atlanta- based venture capital arm of Sam Zell’s Equity Group and as Chief Operating Officer /Chief Financial Officer for Keogler, Morgan & Company, an Atlanta-based broker-dealer for independent financial planners.

In early 1993, Jim moved to a senior corporate development position at BellSouth, where he led strategy and deal teams for BellSouth’s Broadband, Entertainment and Internet groups, including the completion of a $500 million digital cable TV programming partnership among BellSouth, Ameritech, SBC Communications and Walt Disney, the acquisition of five wireless cable companies for $250 million and a wide variety of other strategic transactions (divestitures, strategic alliances, partnerships, software licenses, investments, etc.). Subsequently, he joined BellSouth International, where he led the creation of a continent-wide strategy for BellSouth’s Latin American affiliates to enter the Internet services market, including the assembly, coordination and financial management of a best-of-breed vendor program and the launching of Internet service provider operations in six Latin American countries.

Jim next led the startup of a broadband communications service provider in Canada (Cypress Communications), served on the Board of Directors and as CFO for a startup information security software company (GuardedNet) and advised a hosted telecom billing software company (Exceleron Software) as a strategic consultant in repositioning its web-based, software-as-a-service offering for the retail electricity providers marketplace. He also served as consulting CFO for Look-Listen Creative, LLC, an Atlanta-based digital marketing agency. Jim created the financial infrastructure and process that facilitated Look Listen's eleven fold growth in revenue over three years and its placement on the INC 500 list of America's fastest-growing private companies.

Jim received his B.A. from Washington and Lee University and his M.B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
